PE has been performing solo trumpet concerts since 2002. Beginning with the critically acclaimed More is More on Evan Parker's psi label in 2006, Evans has relentlessly forged a unique musical grammer on the trumpet that dissolves notions of traditional or "extended" technique, harnessing formal control and a range of timbre and dynamics more suggestive of electronic music.  Evans has performed solo concerts worldwide, with tours extended across the USA, Canada, South America, China, Japan, Europe and the UK.  Over nearly 20 years Evans has released 7 albums of solo music,  including the criticallty acclaimed double album Lifeblood (2016), the studio album of short dedications The Veil (2018) and most recently Into the Silence (2020), documenting a live performance in Shenzhen, China from 2019.
